The Arctic Circle 2016

Verkís is actively involved in various projects and subjects closely related to the issues discussed during the Arctic Circle 2016 assembly and is one of the Icelandic strategic partners supporting the event.

The Arctic Circle Assembly will take place for the fourth time in Harpa, Reykjavík Iceland on October 7-9 2016. This international gathering aims at increasing participation in Arctic dialogue and strengthen the international focus on the future of the Arctic. This year's assembly has received the support of various large countries, enhancing the importance of the Arctic in the international debate and will be attended by heads of states and governments, ministers, members of parliaments, officials, experts, scientists, entrepreneurs, business leaders, indigenous representatives, environmentalists, students, activists and others from the growing international community of partners and participants interested in the future of the Arctic.

Verkís representatives will be present at the assembly and a special session on aviation in the Arctic area will be organized by Verkís on Friday 7th October.
