Electrical Energy Systems
The department of Electrical Energy Systems provides consulting in power and control engineering. The department specialises in electrical design of power plants, including feasibility study, preliminary design, final design, tender documents, detail design and design review. Additionally, the department provides an extensive experience in testing and commissioning of the relevant equipment.The department‘s personnel has experience in:
- design of all electrical equipment for producing electrical energy, from generators to high voltage transmission lines
- design of all electrical equipment for transforming electrical energy from high voltage transmission level to lower voltage and distribute it to the users
- design of control and protection systems for power plants and substations
- design of emergency back-up power units
- design of power and control systems for heavy industry plants
- design of power and control systems for pharmaceutical industry
- disturbance and power quality analyses, based on measurements in electrical energy systems
- programming of control system, testing and commissioning
- calculation of settings for protection relays and testing of the relays
The department´s specialists are competent and seek knowledge of innovations in the field, both home and abroad.
The Electrical Energy Systems department is a subdivision of the Hydropower and transmission division, providing the service in the electrical field of hydropower and transmission engineering.
