Overhead transmission lines and cables

Verkís has substantial designing and consulting experience in the field of high voltage overhead lines and underground cables for the industry in the medium voltage range and up to 245 kV. Verkís offers services regarding system surveys, design, tender documents, contracts, purchase, supervision and testing. Our engineering services span all categories of transmission lines, including high voltage lines and appurtenance, earthwork and geodetic surveys.

Verkís provided preliminary surveys and project planning for overhead transmission lines owned by Landsnet, the Icelandic transmission operator. The services span evaluation of line locations, transmission capacity, including high voltage towers, load bearing capacity, earth electrodes etc.
