System studies
In preparing new projects in the field of electric power systems, the basic procedure is to begin by setting up a computer model of the project to analyse load stress during maximal strain on the system as a whole or separate parts of it. The same applies when systems that are already in operation are analysed, e.g. if there is an operational problem in the present systems or if they are to be changed or extended. The function of the system can be simulated both in normal conditions and under strain in the worst case scenario. Verkís has a long experience in applying such system analysis and providing the associated consulting. Verkís possesses advanced software to use in these studies and has the knowledge and experience to apply them. The results have been used as presuppositions for designing devices in large and small projects and have proved successful. The calculations that Verkís expertise covers are e.g.:
