LET'S MEET AT ARGEO-C6

Icelandic Geothermal (Verkís, Mannvit, ÍSOR and Vatnaskil) will be at booth 28. The 6th African Rift Geothermal (ARGeo-C6) Conference will take place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 31 October - 4 November 2016. The theme of ARGeo-C6 is “Geothermal: Solution to Africa Energy needs”. 

The conference seeks to further regional cooperation in the development and utilization of geothermal resources. The conference creates an information exchange platform on exploration, development, investment and utilization of the geothermal resources in the region. Delegates at the conference are encouraged to meet our team at the Icelandic Geothermal's booth to discuss cooperation on project development across the whole geothermal field, from exploration to operations. Many East-African and foreign developers, policy makers, as well as specialized service companies, ranging from resource exploration to equipment manufacturers, will attend the conference and exhibit, which takes place alongside the conference.

The ARGeo conference this year takes place in the United Nations Conference Center (UNCC) in Addis Ababa. It is hosted and organized by the Government of Ethiopia in partnership with United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and a number of other supporting partners including the African Union Commission (AUC) and Icelandic International Development Agency (ICEIDA). This conference is expected to attract about 600 local, regional and international experts, policy makers developers and financiers from all over the world. Participants will include Ministers from 11 African countries (Burundi, Comoros, Djibouti, DRC, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia) and regional directors of investment and development banks.
