Tskhenistskali cascade of HPPs – Consultancy agreement

The Georgian Co-Investment Fund (GCF), a private equity fund based in Georgia has announced a 723 MUSD investment in the Tskhenistskali cascade of hydro power plants project in Georgia, with a planned total installed capacity of 347,1 MW and annual generation of 1743,7 M kWh.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed last week with the Government of Georgia and the energy delivered by the project will be aimed for domestic consumption and export to Turkey.

GCF also signed a consultancy agreement with Verkís and Landsvirkjun Power for the feasibility study and basic design for the Tskhenistskali cascade of HPPs.
