Verkís designs school in Sisimiut in Greenland

Verkis and S&M Verkis, a subsidiary of Verkis, have been selected together with KHR architects to design Craft- and Machine school in Sisimiut in Greenland. Verkis and S&M Verkís will be responsible for engineering design.

Six powerful and experienced teams participated in preselections for the school‘s design and three were chosen to continue in the next phase. Verkis, S&M Verkis and KHR were one of them and were ecentually chosen to design the school.

The school will be able to accommodate 100 – 150 students. The premises will also be used as facilities for meeting and conferences.

The acquisition is the government of Greenland. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.

These day Verkis works on the engineering design of Greenland‘s largest school. The project is also cooperation with S&M Verkis and KHR architects.
