Verkís is a leader in the field of consultancy and design for eco-friendly energy production and has played an important part in development of such power generation in Iceland.
The company has participated in the design of most hydropower and geothermal plants built in Iceland and is the chief designer of such plants in the country. In addition to our local expertise, Verkís has also provided extensive and wide-ranging consultancy in numerous hydropower and geothermal projects internationally, with previous projects located in various countries within in Asia, Europe and Africa.
Verkís also provides consultancy on other types of eco-friendly energy production, including wind power, tidal energy, and the exploitation of waste heat in binary-cycle power plants.
