HYDROLOGY AND HYDRODYNAMICS
Verkís has been involved in numerous projects in the area of hydraulics and hydrodynamics that have involved calculations, research, and modelling connected to the design and building of structures and to risk assessment.
The company has extensive experience of various kinds of computer modelling, such as those used to assess and analyse river and ground water flows, predict tides, simulate avalanches, and calculate air currents. The models are used, among other things, in assessing river expansion, run-off, pollution dissemination in water and air, fluvial sediment transport and sedimentation, ice build-up, and the analysis of piping systems.
Verkís offers monitoring of waterfall flow and groundwater status. Among the devices the company has at its disposal are water current velocity meters and continuously recording pressure sensors connected to computers and phones.
