Sea bath in Húsavík

The sea baths in Húsavík have now been open to the public since last August. Verkís has been working on the project since 2016 and was responsible for all engineering design.

Guests of the sea baths can bathe themselves in sea water, but it was recommended to use water in the bathing pools from three boreholes nearby, some of which have salt water. The service building is about 600 m2 in size and outdoor area (bathing area / pool area) of 500 m2. The main building is mostly buried with the aim of incorporating it into the landscape.
